Somatic Therapy & Integration
If you've made it this far, you're probably longing for something different in your life. That's a big and brave first step.
Deanna is a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) and Somatic Experience practitioner (SEP). She provides individual therapy for those living in British Columbia, Canada, and coaching services for those living outside the province and country. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and helps support a deeper and kinder connection to self.
Her work aims to help people be free to be themselves—not careless freedom, authentic freedom. It is a process of helping people see their own truth and trust their inner wisdom.
Therapeutic Approach
Somatic therapy helps connect the body, mind, and nervous system patterns to promote trauma resolution and healing by slowing down our story and attending to what has been held or stuck in the body. It assumes there is a direct link between our stories and bodily states, and we can shift both by bringing kind curiosity.
Inquiry is a therapeutic approach that supports meaning-making and is a collaborative stance to therapy. It encourages self-discovery through open-ended questions, helping clients uncover patterns and gain clarity, fostering growth, and empowering informed choices. It assumes the client is the expert in their own lives, and Deanna’s role is to guide the conversation.
Transpersonal & Psychospiritual Spending years working alongside Indigenous Healers solidified that many people long for a deeper meaning and connection in their lives. In many ancient modalities, spirit is integrated into healing. If this applies to you, we can talk about that, too. One specialty of my work is supporting those working with psychedelics and plant medicines for healing.
